Diamond Opera Theater
(formerly Hudson Chamber Opera)
co-founded in 2004 by Gwen Gould and committee members Mary Gail Biebel, Mary Hack, Charles Kondek and Alaina Warren Zachary, is a dedicated ensemble of gifted artists - singers, musicians, actors, composers, writers, directors, designers, choreographers, stage technicians, artisans - whose sole purpose is the production of exciting and entertaining works for the lyric stage.
Performances under the founding artistic leadership took place in various venues including The Hudson Opera House, Basilica Industria, and Christ Church Episcopal, all in the heart of the bustling, newly revitalized city of Hudson, NY, the first chartered city in the United States (1785).
